How To Scent Sola Wood Flowers

Scented sola wood flowers are becoming immensely popular among brides, florists and many homeowners. They are an ideal alternative to potpourri and scented floral balls.

Gather Your Craft Materials and Supplies

• Raw sola wood flowers
• Dyed or colored sola wood flowers
• Sola Scent (Fragrance or Essential oil)
• Eye dropper
• Perfume spray bottle
• Water

Two Ways to Scent or Fragrance Sola Wood Flowers

Sola wood flowers are an excellent material to scent because the raw material, that is shola, is a type of wood that allows fragrances to easily infuse through them.

Method 1: Use Eye Dropper

First, we get our sola flowers and our choice of scent or fragrance oil. Using an eye dropper, drip one or two drops of fragrance oil to a bloom. If you are scenting a whole arrangement or bouquet, feel free to drop a few more. Make sure not to overdo it. Faint floral whiff is much more soothing than an overpowering scent.

When done, leave the flowers undisturbed for a few minutes. This will help the fragrance to efficiently permeate through the flowers. If you feel that the fragrance of the flowers is fading after using it for a few days, then repeat the above process.

Method 2: Use Spray Bottle

Just as you would use perfume, spray the flowers with fragrance oil. If you are using concentrated oil, we need to dilute it with water. Add your chosen scent to a small spray bottle.  Add a little water, shake, and then spray on your wood flowers. Feel free to recharge by spraying it some more whenever the smell fades.
